Hello! If you're reading this, you've either stumbled across this blog accidentally and/or are curious about this stranger's opinions and discussions regarding cooking, food, and restaurants. If so, you've come to the right place!
Coming from a Chinese background, food has been a major part of my life. I mean, there are so many variants of Chinese cuisine, so it's hard not to be. With that in mind, it wasn't surprising that I grew interested in food. After all, food (usually) tastes great! who wouldn't like it? With all the different types of dishes and cuisines in the world, it's no wonder that, combined with my enthusiasm for food, I'd eventually end up in the world of cooking. My journey began when I was 13, where I discovered a unique bearded bald man by the name of Babish with a knack for cooking. There, he has a YouTube channel covering a countless number of dishes inspired by shows and movies.

The novelty of food from shows aside, these videos lit a fire in me to start cooking on my own. This journey started off simple, cooking up several variations of fried rice, a dish known for its versatility and simplicity. As expected, this produced both good (kimchi fried rice) and bad (fried tofu and mango fried rice) results. However, this didn't deter me from cooking.

But my passion doesn't just land me into cooking, I've grown a desire to explore cuisines and restaurants around me. Seeing how they make their dishes unique and special. YouTube channels like
the Best Ever Food Review Show opened an entirely new world of food for me. I got to see all the types of food other countries and places offered. I grew curious about the many local restaurants I lived around and often passed, even wondering if I could replicate their ways of cooking. Of course, I'm not an influencer with 10 million followers, nor do I have the budget to travel the world, but I still hold a love for food and culture.
Since then, I've continued to strive to discover new recipes and cuisines, even to this day. Just a quick look-through of my favorite
food blogs combined with a cooking routine helped propel me forward. This five to six-year-long journey has helped reshape my way of thinking and the overall person that I am today. With this blog, I hope it will change you as well.
